How can you tell the sign of the sum of a positive and negative integer without doing any calculations

Answer:

whichever of the integers has the higher number will give away what sign is kept.

Explanation:

example: -9+4

The negative nine, despite being negative, has the “greater” number. Thus meaning the (-) is kept.
another example:

24-15= 9

The 24 has the higher value and is positive so the answer is positive.
