Answer: The amount in the can that remains is 2/3 of the can.

Explanation:

It is 2/3 because in 1 whole, there is 3/3 in this equation. So Li's cat ate 1/3 of the can and so you subtract 1/3 from 3/3. 3 - 1 = 2. So it is 2/3.
