When the Earth's surface is heated unevenly by the Sun, wind is produced. varied regions of the Earth's surface absorb solar radiation at various speeds and in varied amounts, making some warmer than others. As air moves from areas of high pressure to areas of low pressure as a result of the temperature differential, we experience wind.
