Oxygen is taking in by all living things. Humans, Animals, Plants. It’s how we breath and stay alive if animals or humans or plants did not take in oxygen our blood would not make it to the heart and the heart would stop breathing and we would die.

So they can breath. The animas need oxygen just like humans to survive. We breath in oxygen and release carbon dioxide.
