Domain: x ≥ -1 or [-1, ∞)

Range: y ≤ 5 or (-∞, 5]

Explanation:

The point on the bottom left shows that the values of the function start with that point, (-1, -4).

At the other end of the graph there is an arrowhead meaning the graph goes on forever.

The domain is the set of x-coordinates. It starts at -1 and goes on forever to the right.

Domain: x ≥ -1 or [-1, ∞)

The range is the set of y-coordinates. The highest point on the graph is point (2, 5) with y-coordinate 5. The the y-coordinates go down forever.

Range: y ≤ 5 or (-∞, 5]
