So you will add 3.5 to both sides

So

0.8x=4

So then you will divide

4/0.8

So the answer is x=5

Answer:

Explanation:

We need to solve the following equation:

0.8x - 3.5 = 0.5

First we add 3.5 to both sides

0.8x = 0.5 + 3.5

0.8x = 4

Divide each side by 0.8

x = 5

Therefore, x = 5.
