5/6x + 2/3x + 4 = 7

5/6x + 2/3x = 9/6x

9/6x + 4 = 7

9/6x + 4 - 4 = 7 - 4

9/6x = 3

9/6 in decimal form is 1.5 thus

1.5x / 1.5 = 3/1.5

x = 2
