“Tu” is used to refer to someone as “you”, for example “¿cuál es *tu* nombre?” Which means “what’s *your* name?”. Same for “usted” but is normally used for a more respectfully way to ask, for example an old person ur asking “¿cómo *usted* se llama?”.
