If JK = 15, KL = 6x + 7, and JL = 14x − 18, what is KL?

JK + KL = JL

KL = JL - JK

6x + 7 = 14x - 18 - 15

6x + 7 = 14x - 33

14x - 33 = 6x + 7

14x - 6x = 7 + 33

8x = 40

x = 40/8

x = 5

KL = 6x + 7

. = (6 × 5) + 7

. = 30.+ 7

KL.= 37
