Mean: 4/7 or 0.6
Median: 1/2
Mode: 1/2 as it occurs twice out of the 7 values in the set. It is the most frequent element.

Step 1. Rearrange them in order. Easiest to use a common denominator of 8. That will also make it easier to find the mean later.
4(1/2) = 4/8
2(1/4) = 2/8
2(3/4) = 6/8
8(1/1) = 8/8

Now we have: 4/8, 2/8, 6/8, 5/8, 8/8, 3/8, 4/8
Now order from least to greatest: 2/8, 3/8, 4/8, 4/8, 5/8, 6/8, 8/8.

The mean is the sum of numbers divided by how many numbers there are in the set, which is 7.
Add the above values in the numerator and divide them by the denominator of 8 and you get: 32/8. This simplifies to = 4.
Now divide that by the number of elements in the set, 7.
4/7 cannot be simplified further so that is the answer. It can be written as 0.6 or left as 4/7.

Back to the order…
In their original terms this is: 1/4, 3/8, 1/2, 1/2, 5/8, 3/4, 1.
The middle number is the median. The median is 1/2.

Lastly, the mode is whichever value occurs most frequently. In this case, it is 1/2. Two of the seven numbers are 1/2. No other fraction repeats itself.
