Two trains leave a station at 8:00 am. One train travels north at a rate (speed) of 32 mph and another travels east at a rate (speed) of 60 mph. Assuming that the trains do not stop, at what time will the trains be 238 miles apart? Enter your answer as an actual time, such as 5:15, and use the drop-down box to the right of the answer box to select AM or PM

L = 238 miles
V1 = 32 mph
V2 = 60 mph

L^2 = (V1t)^2+(V2t)^2
L^2 = t^2(V1^2+V2^2)
t = √(L^2/(V1^2+V2^2))
t= 3.5 hours
The time is 11:30 am
