10 times as much as 3 would be 30, NOT 3.

Yes if you're asking if 0.3 times 10 is as much as 3, that is correct.

Why?

Because whenever you multiply a decimal by 10, 100, 1,000, 10,000 and so on, you move the decimal point to the right for as many zeros there are after the 1.

For example,

0.1593 · 100

= 15.93

Another example,

0.7 · 10,000

= 7,000

Last example,

0.0067 · 100

= 0.67

Kind of the same thing when you divide a number by 10, 100, 1,000 etc. Except you move the decimal point to the left for as many zeros there are.

So when you ask if 0.3 is 10 times as much as three, that would be wrong.
