Given:-

  • Radius = 15cm
  • π = 3.14 cm

Area of Circle:-

  • Area of Circle =
    \sf{\pi \: {r}^(2) }
  • Area of Circle = 3.14 × 15²
  • Area of Circle = 3.14 × 15 × 15
  • Area of Circle = 3.14 × 225
  • Area of Circle = 706.5 cm²

Answer: A = 706.5 cm^2

Explanation:

Our task is to find the area of the circle; we know that:

  • its radius is 15 cm

Applying the formula:

\sf{A=\pi\,r^2}

Where:

A = area;

\pi = pi (3.14)

r = radius

Plug in 15 for the radius:

\sf{A=\pi*15^2}

\sf{A=225*3.14}

\sf{A=706.5\:cm^2}

\therefore Area = 706.5 cm^2
