A = length × breadth

let breadth be b then length is 2b ( twice the breadth )

the perimeter (P) of a rectangle is calculated as

P = 2( length + breadth)

given P = 30 , then

30 = 2(2b + b) = 2(3b) = 6b ( divide both sides by 6 )

5 = b

the breadth is 5 cm and length is 2 × 5 = 10 cm

Then

A = 10 × 5 = 50 cm²
