Find the perimeter and area of the shape-example-1

The perimeter can be found by adding all the side lengths. 7+6+1+10+4+6 = 34 would be the answer. For the area, we can divide it into two rectangles. The number 8 is not actually what should be in the middle, as 7-1 =6. Once we have divided the area, we can use the expression (6*6) + (4*7) to get our answer of 64.
