What is the area, in square feet, of a right triangle with sides of lengths 7 feet, 24 feet, and 25 feet?

Answer: 84 ft squared
Area of Triangle = bh/2 (where b is the base and h is the height)
(7 x 24)/2
(7 x 24)/2 = 84

Explanation: pythagorean theorem says that in a right triangle the longest side is the hypotenuse, the longest side/ hypotenuse for this triangle is 25. We don’t need the hypotenuse to solve for area so we know that we only have to multiply 7 and 24 then divide it by two to get the area.
