How to factor the expression 2x^2-8x by taking out the greatest common factor

Answer:

2x(x - 4)

Explanation:


2x^2=2* x* x


8x = 2*2*2* x

∴ both 2x² & 8x have common factor : 2 & x, so the greatest common factor = 2x


2x^2=2x(x)


8x = 2x(4)


2x^2-8x=2x(x-4)
