A and b had some chocolates. The ratio of their chocolates was five is to eight. Both of them got ten more chocolates. The ratio of their chocolates became seven is to ten. Find out how many chocolates b had initially

Answer:

(5x + 10)/(8x + 10) = 7/10

10(5x + 10) = 7(8x + 10)

50x + 100 = 56x + 70

6x = 30

x = 5

B initially had 8 × 5 = 40 chocolates.
