we can start by first finding the slope by using the formula


y2-y1/x2-x1 =
-7-(-9)/-2-(-3)=2/1=2

so now we have our slope m=2

Now we also have the y-intercept which is (0,-3) (y-intercept is the value of y when x=0)

using the equation
y=mx+c where m is the slope and c is the y-intercept,

we arrive at y=2x-3 (or)

f(x)=2x-3
