y = 8/3x - 2/3

Explanation:

general equation of the line is, y = mx + b

where slope, m = y2 - y1 / x2 - x1

and b is the constant

from the given points,

m = 2 + 6 / 1 + 2 = 8/3

let's take any point to find b, i am taking (-2, -6) as (x, y) co-ordinates:

-6 = 8/3(-2) + b

-6 = -16/3 + b

b = -6 + 16/3 = -18 + 16 / 3 = -2/3

thus, the equation of the line is,

y = 8/3x - 2/3
