Answer:

I) \(33 + (-47) - (-84) = 70\)

II) \((-8) - (-68) + (-36) = 20\)

III)

a) \( [37 - (-8) ] + [ -30] = 75\)

b) \( [-13 - (-17) ] + [-22 - (-40) ] = -8\)

IV) \(34 - (-72) - 34 = 72\) and \(72\) and \(-72\) are not equal.

V) Let \(x\) be the other integer. Given, \(170 + x = -13\), solving for \(x\) gives \(x = -183\).

VI) Let \(y\) be the other integer. Given, \(-47 + y = 65\), solving for \(y\) gives \(y = 112\).
