Explanation:

Using the the Power of a Power law from the laws of exponents we know that you must multiply the two exponents:

Power of a power law:
(a^m)^n=a^m^*^n (the * is multiplication)


(8^4)^5-->
8^4^*^5-->
8^2^0

Now we have the expression
(8^2^0)/(8^5)

Finally, using the Quotient law, we must subtract the exponents from one another:

Quotient law:
(a^m)/(a^n)-->
a^m^-^n


(8^2^0)/(8^5)-->
8^2^0^-^5-->
8^1^5
