The world will pay little attention and will not long remember our words, but it can never forget their deeds. It is our responsibility as the living to be committed to the unfinished work that they advanced so nobly. We are here to dedicate ourselves to the significant task remaining before us, gaining increased dedication from those who fought here. We resolve strongly that these honored dead will not have died without purpose; this nation, guided by God, will experience a rebirth of freedom. A government by the people, for the people, shall endure and not fade away from the earth.
