Add all your values together: 19+22+22+17+20 = 100
Once you have obtained that value you have to divide your answer by the total number of values the question has given you: 100/5 = 20

::therefore your answer is 20.

Answer:

  • 20

Explanation:

Average is calculated by,

{ \boxed { \sf{ \pink{Average = (sum \: of \: all \: values)/(No. \: of \: values)}}}}

Last week, your part-time employees worked 19, 22, 22, 17, and 20 hours, respectively.

Sum = 19 + 22 + 22 + 17 + 20 = 100

Total number of values is 5.

On solving we get

\sf Average = ( 100)/(5) \\

\sf Average = 20

Hence the average number of part-time hours that your employees worked in a week is 20.
