As someone who does online learning- I would say it's up to multiple people. Firstly, the student needs to make sure that they are keeping on track with their work and turning in all assignments given to them. However, the student's parent or guardian should also be checking in to make sure that their child is turning in work. This is because the student may choose to procrastinate, or maybe is struggling with navigating how to use online learning and is too afraid or embarrassed to ask for help. By the parent/guardian checking in on a regular basis, a huge build up of work can be avoided, and the student will be able to stay on pace with their schooling.
