Corollary of my Pride
Whither wander thou? O' shallow mind?
swifter than the heartbeat, eyes that rhyme
O'er the flare of the moon,O'er the sky
In the fields ,over the bridge , every corner delve I
could it be a perilous corollary of my pride
that disguise I with tears so dry
sometimes a lot they say and a lot they hide
hide thou thy face ,hide thou thy tales
of a kingdom of martyrs and people so pale
Whither wander the quest? O' shallow mind?
of finding thy self in the breeze,in the winds
quest so say thou ? of finding mine self?
would have had found it long ago only if I weren't two faced
one to bury,one to act
bury the quest of placidity ,an act so obstinate
like standing in a garden full of thorns on a summer's day
whither wander the heart? O' shallow mind
the one you had,the one you wore at the masquerade and throes so prime
vex thy not by words that rhyme
heart had I,not now though for it went for a dine
Ingested all the gashes in gulp when no one was in the sight
Is it just about the things we want ,things we have
have whatever was the quest for & where did the mind lead
crime ,screamed I,was it a crime?
neither a crime nor a punishment yet rained all of my nights
Hither wander truly, I,the shallow mind.
