A venn diagram is a diagram that shows 2 overlapping circles. A venn diagram helps us visualize the relationships between 2 or more things. The non-overlapping part of the circles are the contrasting figures, while the overlapping part shows the similarities between the 2 things.

Something I would have learned if I had completed a lesson on how to use a venn diagram and examples would be that a venn diagram doesn't have to have only 2 circles. It can have 2, 3, 4, 5, and so on.
