2. Now we know each dimension is 3 we can visualize that if we drilled a 1x1 hole in the center of each face then the hole would be a cuboid that is 1x1x3 on one face and on the second both drilled holes intersect with each other at the center of the cube it would be 1x1x2

3. calculating the volume of each 1x1x3 + 1x1x2 = 5

27-5 = 22
