Answer:

216

Explanation:

1. Since we have fractions with different denominators we need to convert them to a common denominator of 24

1/8 = 3/24

1/3 = 8/24

2. Now that they have the same denominator we can add them to get 11/24 so to find the amount of mango trees there are we do

1 - 11/24 =

13/24

3. To find what we need to multiply 117 by lets do

1 ÷ 13/24 =

1 x 24/13 =

24/13

4. so to find the total trees in the Orchard we need to do

117 x 24/13 = 216
