The formula for finding the area of a triangle is: A=1/2 bh
Which is area is equal to one half times base times height.
The base and height are the legs of this right triangle. So base is 6ft and height is 8ft. We can ignore the hypotenuse.
A=1/2 bh
A=1/2(6ft)(8ft)
A=1/2(48ft^2)
A=24ft^2
It’s like finding the area of a rectangle, but half of it. And a triangle is half of a rectangle, or square.
