The volume of a cylinder is given by the formula

V = r2h,
where r is the radius and h is the height. Find the height in m if the volume is 6,550 m3 and the radius is 13.0 m.

Substitute the volume for V and the radius for r

6550 = (13)^2(h)
6550 = 169h

38.75739644970414 = h

h is approximately 38.8 m
