your favorite camping site is 280 miles. What will be the cost of the gasoline for a round trip to the campsite?

Answer: 83
(101)/(150)

Explanation:

First put the numbers into an equation.

A round trip would mean to and fro, we are finding the cost of 280 miles times 2 which equals 560 miles.

We know one gallon gives us 24 miles and since the total is 560 miles, we can do
(560)/(24) to get the total number of gallons of gas used on the round trip which we would get 23
(1)/(3).

Now we multiply 23
(1)/(3) to 3.586 to get the total cost of all 560 miles. And the product of 23
(1)/(3)·3.586 would equal approximately 83.6733333333 or 83
(101)/(150).

Hope that helped.
