Answer: The perimeter of the picture frame is 24 square inches

Explanation:

√36= 6 in^2 ->this finds the length of one side of the picture frame

s=6

Then using P=4s

P=4(6)

P=24 square inches

Answer: 24

Explanation:

First lets take a look at the formulas. In the area formula given it is stated that A (the area) is equal to the side lengths squared represented by s^2. Then if we look at the perimeter formula A(the perimeter) is represented by 4 times the side lengths (4s). Now what is consistent throughout both of these equations? The area or perimeter aren't because they are equal to different equations and could therefore have different outputs. Then what could it be? If you guessed the side lengths you are correct! No matter what the area or perimeter of a square is equal to the side lengths that you plug into the equation will be the same. Now we know that the area is 36 right? (It's given). Let's put that into our area formula.

36 = s^2

s = 6

Now we know the side lengths of our given square is 6 yay!

now let's put it back into our perimeter equation.

A(Perimeter) = 4s

A = 4*6

A = 24

Perimeter = 24

YAY!
