substitution x-3=2x2-4x

2x2-5x+3=0

quadratic formula

a=2

b=-5

c=3

x=-(-5+- (sqrt(-5)^2 -4*2*3))/(2*2)

x=(5+-1)/4

x=3/2 and 1
