Since the triangle is isosceles, the two base angles are equal
7x+7=5x+19
2x=12
x=6
Angle XZY=5x+19=5(6)+19=49, so the answer is B

Answer:

B

Explanation:

since the sides XY and XZ are congruent then Δ XYZ is isosceles with the

2 base angles being congruent , that is

∠ XYZ = ∠ XZY

7x + 7 = 5x + 19 ( subtract 5x from both sides )

2x + 7 = 19 ( subtract 7 from both sides )

2x = 12 ( divide both sides by 2 )

x = 6

Then

∠ XZY = 5x + 19 = 5(6) + 19 = 30 + 19 = 49°
