Given: 2(10 − 13x) + 9x = −34x + 60
Step 1: 20 − 26x + 9x = −34x + 60
Step 2: −17x = −34x + 40
Step 3: 17x = 40

Answer: Step 1:Distributive property

Step 2: Subtraction Property of Equality

Step 3: Addition Property of Equality

Step 4: Division Property of Equality

Explanation:

In step 1 we use the Distributive Property to turn
2(10-13x) into
20 -26x by distributing(multiplying) the 2 among the 10 and -13x

In step 2 we use the Subtraction Property of Equality but first, we have to combine like terms by adding
-26x + 9x since they have alike variables to get
20-17x=-34x+60. Now we have to move 20 to the right side of this equation by subtracting 20 on both sides. Then you should have this equation
-17x=-34x+40

In step 3 we use the Addition Property of Equality to move 34x to the left side of
-17x=-34x+40. We do so by adding -34x to both sides of this equation which will give us
17x=40

In step 4 we use the Division Property of Equality to get x in
17x=40 by itself. So we divide 17 on both sides which will give us
x=(40)/(17) our final answer.

So your answer will be
x=(40)/(17)
