If we add
`x` in both RHS and LHS:

`2x = 7+x`

If we multiply with
`x` on both RHS and LHS:

⇒
`x^2=7x`

Reasons for why we can't divide or subtract:

If we subtract
`x` from both RHS and LHS:

`x - x = 7-x`

`0 = 7-x`

If we divide
`x` on both RHS and LHS:

In both of these cases we do not have x on both LHS and RHS, and in the question we were asked to write an equation with x on both sides hence, we can't divide or subtract.
