Dear …

There is an issue we have become increasingly aware of – the cell phone addiction amongst teenagers. Cell phones are a great tool and can offer us many advantages, including staying connected with our loved ones, using our phones as productivity tools, and even providing access to important information. However, when used incorrectly or too much, phones can also prove to be a distraction and create an unhealthy obsession with technology.

Research shows that cell phone addiction is more common among teenagers than adults. According to a study by the American Psychology Association, more than 50% of teenagers struggle with overusing their phones. They may be so absorbed in their phones that they become less social, have difficulty focusing, and exhibit behavioral problems. And while teens may think that the advantages of phones outweigh the disadvantages, we cannot ignore the fact that teens can become too reliant on their phones and miss out on important moments.

Limiting phone use to certain parts of the day and putting away all phones at least an hour before bedtime will help teenagers to become less addicted to their cell phone.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,
