To find the cost of plastering the walls of the seminar hall, we first need to calculate the total surface area of the walls that need to be plastered.

1. Calculate the area of each wall:
- Two walls with dimensions 12 m (length) x 4 m (height) each: 2 * (12 m * 4 m) = 96 square meters
- Two walls with dimensions 5 m (breadth) x 4 m (height) each: 2 * (5 m * 4 m) = 40 square meters

2. Add the areas of all four walls: 96 square meters + 40 square meters = 136 square meters.

3. Now, we need to subtract the area of windows and doors:
- Area of 3 windows: 3 * (3 m * 2 m) = 18 square meters
- Area of 2 doors: 2 * (1.5 m * 3 m) = 9 square meters

4. Total area to be plastered: 136 square meters - (18 square meters + 9 square meters) = 109 square meters.

5. Finally, calculate the cost of plastering at Rs. 22 per square meter:
Cost = 109 square meters * Rs. 22 per square meter = Rs. 2,398.

So, the cost of plastering the walls of the seminar hall will be Rs. 2,398.

Answer:

Rs 2398

Explanation:

Given:

Semi hall

Length(l) = 12 m

Breadth(b) = 5 m

Height(h) = 4 m

Area of the four walls = 2h(l + b)

= 2 * 4 * (12 + 5)

= 2 * 4 * 17

= 136 sq. m.

For Windows

Area of the three windows = 3(l*b)

=3* 2 * 3

= 18 sq. m.

For Doors

Area of the two doors = 2(l*b)

= 2*1.5 * 3

= 9 sq. m.

Area to be plastered = Area of 4 wall - Area of three windows - Area of 2 doors

= 136 - 18 - 9

= 109 sq. m.

Cost of plastering = Rate* Area

= Rs 22 * 109

= Rs. 2398

So the cost of plastering its walls at Rs. 22 per sq. meter is Rs 2398
