A triangular attic vent has an area of 432 inches squared. The base is 6 times larger than the height. Write a quadratic equation to model the situation. Let h represent the height. Solve the equation. Find the base and height of the vent.

Answer:

Base = 144 Height = 6

Explanation:

First when we think about this question we know that the area was already divide by 2 since it's a triangle.

Area of triangle = b x h / 2

So knowing, we would do 432 x 2 / 6 which would give us 144.

Knowing that the base it 6x the height we would know that the base is 144 and height is 6.

I don't really know how to write the quadratic equation but I'm hoping these numbers might help you.
