1. Does the moment of inertia depend on the homogeneity (that is uniform distribution of mass)? A motor capable of producing a constant torque of 100 N is connected to a fly wheel with rotational inertia 10 kg m². What angular acceleration will the flywheel experience as the motor is switch on?

In this case the moment of inertia is given so you don’t need to consider the homogeneity or the symmetry of the flywheel. Angular acceleration can be obtained by torque/moment of inertia so it is equal to 10 rad s^-1. Also torque is in Newton meters!
