In Ms. Perron’s class, 60% of the students are boys. There are 26 students in the class. What is the total number of boys in Ms. Perron’s class?

Answer:

Let the no. of students be X.

Boys = 60% of X .

So Boys = (60/100)*X.

So left 40% of students are girls and it is given they are 14.

So total students X= total boys + total girls.

X = (60/100)*X+14.

(40/100)*X = 14.

X = (14*100)/40.

X = 35.

X - (60/100)*X = 14.
