sum the angles in Δ PQT and equate to 180°

a + 50° + 80° = 180°

a + 130° = 180° ( subtract 130° from both sides )

a = 50°

the exterior angle of a triangle is equal to the sum of the opposite two interior angles

b is an exterior angle of Δ PQT , then

b = 80° + 50° = 130°

c is an exterior angle of Δ PQT , then

c = 80° + a = 80° + 50° = 130°
