Explanation:

-2x-2y = -6

-2x=-6+2y

x=-6+2y/-2-------1

putting value of x in equation 3x+4y=

3*(-6+2y/-2) + 4y = 8

-18+6y/-2 + 4y = 8

-18+6y+4y = -16

-18+10y = -16

10y = 2

y = 1/5

putting value of y in equation -2x-2y = -6 we get

-2x-2*1/5 = -6

-2x-2/5 = -6

x-2/5 = 3

x = 3+2/5

x= 15+2/5 = 17/5

Hence value of x = 17/5

y = 1/5

Answer:

- 2x - 2y= -6

3x + 4y = 8

2(- 2x - 2y= -6)

3x + 4y = 8

-4x-4x=-12

3x+4y=8

⇒-x=-4⇒x=4

-2x-2y=-6

-8+2y=-6

2y=-6+8

y=1
