Cardiomyopathy, myocardial infarction, and arrhythmia all can occur as a result of plaque buildup in the heart.
It’s important to always monitor the accumulation or contraction of plaque to prevent cardiovascular issues, especially if you already have underlying conditions that significantly increase this risk. Myocarditis does not occur as a result of plaque buildup. Instead, it usually is caused by infection and/or inflammation. Therefore, it isn’t directly related to plaque buildup but can have similar effects on the heart.
