First, find the area of the rectangle if the half circle hadn't been removed.

4.4x9.4=41.36

Now, find the area of the full circle.

πx2.2²≈15.21

Divide that by two.

15.21/2=7.605 (round to hundredths, so it would be 7.61)

Now, take 7.61 from 41.36.

41.36-7.61=33.75

Finally, round to the nearest tenth.

Answer: 33.8
