EFGH is a trapezium with EH parallel to FG. FE and GH are produced (made longer ) to meet at J. Angle EHF = 62 deg , angle EFH = 25 deg and angle JGF = 77 deg Calculate the size of angle EJH .

∠EFH = 16°

Explanation:

EH // FG and FH is transversal.

y = 62° {Alternate interior angles are congruent}

∠F = 25 + 62

= 87°

In ΔFGJ,

x + ∠F + ∠G = 180° {Angle sum property of triangle}

x + 87 + 77 = 180

x + 164 = 180

x = 180 - 164

x = 16°
