Answer:

<1=39°

Explanation:

Complementary angles are 2 angles who's sum is 90°.

So, <1 and <2 must equal 90.

Write an equation:

(6x-15)+(5x+6)=90

combine like terms

(11x-9)=90

add 9 to both sides

11x=99

divide both sides by 11

x=9

Now, plug in x=9 into <1's equation to find the measure of <1:

(6x-15)

=6(9)-15

=54-15

=39

So, <1=39°.

Hope this helps! :)

Answer:

∠ 1 = 39°

Explanation:

complementary angles sum to 90°

sum the 2 angles and equate to 90

6x - 15 + 5x + 6 = 90

11x - 9 = 90 ( add 9 to both sides )

11x = 99 ( divide both sides by 11 )

x = 9

Then

∠ 1 = 6x - 15 = 6(9) - 15 = 54 - 19 = 39°
