Lilies : Daisies

5 : 3

10 : x

x : number of daisies

We can put the ratio in fraction form and then cross multiply.

5/3 = 10/x

Cross multiply

30 = 5x

x = 6

Or, you can notice that since the amount of lilies doubles, the amount of daisies must also double. This way, you can double 3 to get 6.

To get the total number of flowers, you must add them. 10 lilies + 6 daisies = 16 flowers total.
