Depending on what country is being discussed, there are numerous issues with the tourist industry. Some global issues include infrastructure issues, language barriers, and security. Some regions do not have the adequate roads, highways, waterways, transportation, fresh water, etc. in order to accommodate for a large amount of visitors. This makes a region less appealing to foreigners. Additionally, there is a language barrier. Most tourists speak English, so global tourism can be hindered if there aren't adequate interpreters. Lastly, security is an issue as a large influx of tourists means that dangerous weapons are less likely to be detected by officials, which can cause catastrophic damage. As a result, some regions limit the number of tourists, which can be damaging to the tourism industry
